This tiny town encapsulates all aspects of natural and cultural history, pre-human ecology, the great Polynesian explorers and settlers, tribal warfare, European exploration and settlement, large-scale forest clearance and species extinctions, the rise of pastoral farming and fishing, through to today’s tourism and conservation.

Tours must be pre-booked, minimum of two people per tour.

Cancellation policy; tours must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to departure to receive a refund, refunds may not include booking fees of external parties.

Tours only operate Friday, Saturday, Sunday as your guide works as a conservation ranger for the Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust Tuesday-Thursday.
